The Thomas Hunt Morgan School of Biological Sciences
The Thomas Hunt Morgan School of Biological Sciences will be established to serve as the campus’ central place for the understanding the role that the biological sciences play in the world.
Biological research is implicitly multidisciplinary; currently undergoing a revolutionary change with the inclusion of the physical sciences, mathematics, computational sciences, and engineering. The Thomas Hunt Morgan School will serve as an incubator for multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborations, such as new majors and certificates in health professions, an integrated science curriculum, and interdisciplinary lines of research. The School will also continue its prestigious Thomas Hunt Morgan Lecture Series, which brings speakers of unassailable quality and reputation to campus.
